Planning a proposal in Edinburgh? Whether it’s a surprise among quiet cobbled streets, a sunset at a hidden viewpoint, or a private corner of a city garden, I’ll help you find the perfect spot and capture the moment without disrupting it. I’ll work with you to make the experience feel effortless – from photographing discreetly if it’s a surprise, to stepping in for an up-close shot of the moment and your partner’s reaction. Once your date and time are confirmed and the booking proposal is signed, you’ll receive a questionnaire and location guide so I can understand your priorities and help you choose the best spot for your proposal. I’ll check if your partner knows the photoshoot is happening or if you’d like me to photograph it from a distance. On the day, we meet up and take photos – a relaxed mix of natural moments and gentle guidance. Afterwards, I edit a polished gallery that captures the feel of your session and your time in Scotland!

Photos freeze moments. Hybrid video lets you feel them. If you love the idea of motion, atmosphere, and sound but don’t want a full videography team, this is the perfect middle ground. Your day stays relaxed and uninterrupted, while you receive a beautifully edited 2–3 minute highlight film set to music – perfect for reliving the day in a whole new way!

What happens if it rains?
If it looks like rain I’ll bring clear umbrellas so we can stay dry. Depending on timings, we can pop into a museum or coffee shop.
How do we book?

Can you photograph the proposal from a distance?
Absolutely! I’ve hidden in a number of bushes so your partner won’t see my while you propose.
Can I propose outside of Edinburgh?
Yes, I travel across all of Scotland (including islands!) to photograph engagements. Check out the Adventure Shoots section below.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
The turnaround time for receiving your photos is typically 6-10 weeks, depending on the scope of the project and the time of year. Each image is carefully hand-edited to meet my high standards.
Can we see or purchase unedited files?
No, I don’t provide unedited files. Editing is a crucial part of my process and is a significant factor in the cost of photography packages.The edited photos are the finished product.
