EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT Your Wedding Captured in Stills & Motion
Do you love the idea of having just a touch of video woven into your day without booking a full videography team or feeling surrounded by extra cameras?
Imagine the magical landscapes of Skye, the windswept moments in Glencoe, or the lively streets of Edinburgh captured not just in stills, but in motion. A highlight film lets you relive those fleeting glances, the laughter, the way your dress moves in the breeze—all in a natural, unobtrusive way.
If you’ve already booked a videographer, this isn’t for you. But if you’re looking for that little extra something to bring your story to life, read on.
What does a hybrid gallery look like?
Meet Rhosei and Adam – Glen Tanar Micro-Wedding
This beautiful autumn, lochside wedding was two years in the planning. I spend the day with Rhosei and Adam, on Glen Tanar’s beautiful properties. Their lochside ceremony was private followed by a celebration with their nearest and dearest.
The best part? Hybrid coverage meant they got both photos and video, with no compromise to the quality of their images.
Below you’ll find a few highlights along with their short film.
Timeless photos and a cinematic highlight film
A LIGHTER ALTERNATIVE
to a Full Videographer
MEET Chris and Jillian – Glencoe, Scotland Elopement
I spent the day with Chris and Jillian surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Glencoe — a landscape that feels both wild and timeless. Their elopement began in a quiet valley framed by towering peaks, where they exchanged vows as the mist rolled through the hills.

Simpler Than Traditional Videography
Hybrid shooting means I’ll be capturing both photos and video throughout your day. You’ll receive your full wedding or elopement gallery as usual, plus a short highlight film (about 2–3 minutes) that brings the day to life in motion, set to music.
This is not meant to replace a dedicated videographer. A full videography team will typically film every part of your day, create full-length edits, and capture audio of vows and speeches. Hybrid shooting is a lighter, simpler option.
I capture little moments of movement as I photograph, then weave them together into a cinematic highlight film. It’s perfect if you love the idea of video but don’t want a full 30-minute film or extra people and cameras hanging around.

Amanda and Kelsey – Isle of Skye, Scotland Elopement
I traveled to the Isle of Skye for a rare day of sunshine with Amanda and Kelsey. They exchanged vows beneath the dramatic cliffs of the Quiraing, then set off to chase waterfalls, wander along hiking trails, and finish the day with a cozy drink in Portree.
Q&A
How much does the hybrid package cost?
Because this is a new offering, I’m currently booking hybrid coverage at a discounted rate of £450 (inc VAT) while I continue refining my craft.
Please note that the £450 is on top of whatever photography or elopement package you choose.
Who is hybrid photo and video coverage ideal for?
Hybrid photo and video coverage is ideal for couples who:
Don’t want a lot of vendors and cameras around them all day
Prefer something short and sweet instead of a full video production
Want a film that’s easy to share with family, friends, and on social media
Love the idea of having their story told in both stills + motion
How will we receive the film?
You’ll receive your highlight film along with your photo gallery. The film is approximately 2–3 minutes long, set to music from a licensed music library that you choose. It’s delivered in high quality and ready to share or download.
Can I hire you for hybrid if I already have a videographer?
No, if you already have a videographer, you don’t need hybrid coverage from me. Your videographer will likely produce a highlight film and a full-length film.
Can you put our film to the music of our choice?
After booking, I’ll send you a link to a website where you can choose the music for your film. This is music that I pay to have access to and is licensed to be used for commercial purposes. I am unable to use music that does not have appropriate licensing.
