Located in the gorgeous Kingsbarns area of Fife, a stone’s throw from St. Andrews, is Cambo Estate. This venue is the perfect spot for couples who want friends and family to stay onsite, love a bit of nature (you could even have pigs in the background of your ceremony) but want the classic luxury experience of an estate venue. Let’s dive into everything you need to know about getting married at Cambo Estate.

GETTING READY ROOM(S)
Cambo Estate is ripe with rooms for getting ready spaces, both for yourself as the wedding couple, and your guests. The Victorian-style rooms are large and well-lit which makes them a joy for your photo and video teams! The billiards room offers a more masculine feel.
LOCATION
For those who love the countryside but still want amenities and elegance, Cambo Estate really hits the mark. With roaming pigs (still in an enclosed space!) wildflowers, and daffodils galore, Cambo is hard to beat. Plus, the beach is just minutes away which means you get forest, wildflower meadows, luxury estates, and even the town of St. Andrews all in one day should you wish!
ONSITE ACCOMMODATION
With 18 bedrooms that accommodate up to 37 guests, Cambo Estate is perfect to host everyone for smaller weddings. If you’re having something larger, St. Andrews is only 20 minutes away which means that guests should be able to easily taxi or you could organize a bus to and from the estate.
WEDDING CEREMONY LOCATIONS
Cambo Estate is well situated to host a variety of party sized. I’ve personally shot a gorgeous micro-wedding, with just under twenty guests. The ceremony took place on the lawn under one of the gorgeous mature trees.
For those who want a larger or more traditional wedding, Cambo Estate can seat up to 120 guests indoors, but by using outdoor spaces up to 250 guests can be accommodated for evening receptions.
Cambo Estate offers a number of location options for your ceremony. For something more nature-focused, you can opt for a ceremony on the Lawn, Walled Garden, or Woodlands. Alternatively, there are a number of indoor spaces such as the Library, Drawing Room, Dining Room, or Coach Yard which all have the flexibility for ceremonies (depending on your guest count and ceremony setup).
GETTING TO cambo estate
Cambo Estate is most easily reached by car. Just 20 minutes from St. Andrews and under two hours from Edinburgh makes it easy to access. While there are public transport options into the Kingsbarns area, a mile walk along the road would be required to reach Cambo on foot. If guests are not staying on the estate, we’d recommend hiring a private bus to get people from St. Andrews to Cambo.
