Kate and Peter chose to celebrate their elopement in Scotland. After signing the paperwork the day before, they met me bright and early for a sunrise photoshoot, dressed in their wedding attire, ready to exchange vows.

Our location was St. Anthony’s Chapel Ruin, tucked away in Holyrood Park in the heart of Edinburgh. It’s one of my favorite spots for photoshoots, and for good reason. With ancient architecture, city views, and Arthur’s Seat as a backdrop, it’s one of the best places in the city for an elopement. You’d hardly believe you’re in a city when you see some of the photos.

The morning greeted us with a stunning sunrise, casting a golden and pink hue across the sky. The mist rolling in added a touch of magic to the atmosphere, making it a dreamy setting for Kate and Peter’s heartfelt vows.

From the moment they exchanged their vows against the backdrop of the ancient chapel ruins, it was clear these two were deeply in love. Their promises and smiles painted a beautiful picture of their commitment. Their love story unfolded in the most genuine way.

In the serene beauty of St. Anthony’s Chapel Ruin and the calm of Holyrood Park, Kate and Peter’s elopement was truly magical. It was an intimate celebration of their love, a moment that spoke volumes about their connection and their journey together.

As their photographer and one of the first to congratulate them as a married couple, I felt truly honored.

In every photograph, you can see their love, the beauty of their chosen location, and the magic of that serene morning. Kate and Peter’s Edinburgh elopement was a testament to the power of love and the enchantment of Scotland’s landscapes. It’s a day they’ll cherish forever, and I’m grateful to have been part of their story.

Here’s to Kate and Peter, to their love, and to the adventures ahead as they journey through life together as husband and wife. May their love continue to shine as brilliantly as that Edinburgh sunrise, lighting their path forward. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

"These photos are works of art! We had such a wonderful experience with Alysa, who is easy to work with, engaging, and incredibly talented! We eloped in Scotland and wanted to capture the day that we exchanged our vows in order to share with family/friends, and Alysa exceeded our expectations. She gave great direction and made us feel comfortable having our photos taken, and it honestly felt like having a long-time friend there with us. The result was a truly breathtaking series of photos, absolutely beautiful!"
