We had planned a very small wedding in Edinburgh and as we are from in the South of England, we had no local contacts to use (it was also a secret so we couldn't even ask friends for recommendations!!). We did some Googling and research on Instagram and came across Alysa. Straight away we fell in love with her style of photos - they were very natural and authentic and didn't look overly posed. She manages to capture the special moments which translate beautifully in a photo. I messaged her and she came back straight away with details, pricing etc and we set up a Zoom call to chat through our ideas. It was a pleasure to have Alysa at our wedding and she made the whole thing so relaxed. She was very patient as we were also dealing with a tired 2 year old! Alysa has exceptional knowledge of all the best spots in Edinburgh and was so understanding of when we felt like we'd captured 'enough' - it felt -10C and I was walking in sandals!!! Alysa is amazing! I am also a photographer, so I'm always uncomfortable in front of the lens. She made me and my husband feel right at home, and it was so easy to have fun! We were visiting, and she suggested a beautiful location (St. Anthony's Chapel Ruins). We had never been there, so she sent us a handy map that we used a few times to make sure we were going in the right direction. 10/10 experience, and I can't wait to do it again! While we only did a short session, her energy and direction are top notch, and I can tell you she will be awesome for your wedding day.

What an incredible experience it was with Alysa! Months before the shoot she was able to provide location suggestions for us, as we were visiting Edinburgh for the first time. She was attentive and communicative the entire process. She immediately knew the tone and aesthetic we were going for and was able to guide us in the right direction.
