Back in June, Wildling Weddings had the shear joy of photographing Lindsay and Alex’s beautiful wedding at the fabulous St Luke’s in Glasgow.

If you’re looking for hip and chic wedding venues in Glasgow, St Luke’s is the place to be – but don’t be fooled – this isn’t some stiff old church!

Well, we mean, it was a church, but now it is one of the funkiest places in town for nights out, delicious food, and, of course, weddings.

If you’re planning a St Luke’s Glasgow wedding, here’s the scoop.

Where is St Luke’s?

Located in the Carlton area of Glasgow, which is in the heart of the city’s East End, St Luke’s is a Catholic church-turned-bar and kitchen that can be found next door to Barrowlands on Bain Street.

As well as offering delicious food at their in-house restaurant otherwise known as The Flying Ox, St Luke’s is also a live music venue, bar, and wedding establishment.

Oh, and it is dog-friendly!

St Luke’s Music & Arts Venue

Irrespective of your choice of faith, there is no denying that any venue that was formerly a church is going to be pretty cool.

Featuring stained-glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and a traditional pipe organ, St Luke’s dates back to the 1800s, so coupled with the old-school church vibes and the nightclub and chic restaurant element, we’re talking a seriously unique wedding venue.

As there is a bar and kitchen on the premises, St Luke’s can cater to your bespoke wedding menu goals, ensuring the food side of your special day is exactly what you want – and without the faff of hiring external caterers.

This award-winning kitchen boasts mouth-watering hipster meals, including plenty of veggie and vegan options.

St Luke’s Ceremony

Couples are able to have a religious, humanist, or civil ceremony at St Luke’s.

Food & Drink

Let’s look at what is arguably the most important part of any wedding!

St Luke’s offers couples a ‘flexible and accommodating’ approach to planning the food side of their wedding, and there is a variety of set menus to choose from, or couples can indulge in an evening buffet and/or a selection of canapés.

Why Hire St Luke’s as a Wedding Venue?

St Luke’s is in an elite class of its own by embodying the regal and traditional beauty of a church venue setting (who doesn’t love a stained-glass window or two?!) with a contemporary and chic nightclub and restaurant.

As for the venue’s aesthetic, St Luke’s embodies an effortless mix of gothic chapel, swanky eatery, and magical romanticism.

Finally, it is rare to find a wedding venue that is both super unique and accommodating to couples, which is why St Luke’s is so in demand.
