Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh Wedding Venues
Gushing with historical elegance and grandeur a-plenty, the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh’s Queen Street in the heart of New Town is the place to tie the knot in style!
Depending on your style, requirements, and guest capacity, the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh has several stunning suites to choose from.
Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh Library
Despite being known as the New Library, the RCPE’s most notable venue room is distinctively Victorian in style and features wall-to-wall antique bookcases, polished wooden balconies, and black Gothic candelabras, and a gorgeous Georgian alcove.
Oh, and the grand marble fireplace is a sight to behold!
Coupling atmosphere with elegance, the New Library allows couples to say their vows in front of approximately 100 seated guests (with 150 for the reception and 50 for the sit-down meal).
Whether opting for a wedding or civil ceremony, this magnificent suite makes for the perfect backdrop.

The Cullen Suite
Speaking of magnificent, the stunning Cullen Suite is a bright and decadent Georgian room that boasts some incredible views overlooking the Queen Street Gardens and across to the Firth of Forth.
While the New Library holds moody and atmospheric vibes, the Cullen Suite is all light and airy, and features some beautifully decorated ceilings, and is ideal for those wanting an indoor ceremony that is still flooded with natural sunlight.
The Cullen Suite caters to smaller weddings and elopements, and offers a ceremony and dinner capacity of 40 guests, with a reception capacity of 80.
The Great Hall
With a name like ‘The Great Hall’, this suite has a lot to live up to, and luckily it does just that – and then some!
Featuring grandiose pillars, elegant statues, and romantic crimson-coloured walls, this room is pure lavishness with a side order of Victorian charm.
Perfect for both the ceremony and reception alike, owing to its spaciousness, The Great Hall can accommodate ceremonies and sit-down meals for 150 guests.
Couples are also welcome to invite 30 additional guests to attend the evening reception. This impressive room also features a special sprung floor and excellent acoustics, meaning there is plenty of space for ceilidhs and live music to dance the night away.
