Weddings at Hopetoun House
Those looking for limitless luxury and extravagance will relish everything Hopetoun House has to offer.
Whether you favour a cosy winter wedding in amongst the elegant grandiose of the manor or desire a summer wedding on the vast and wildlife-filled acreage (6,500 acres to be exact!) of the estate, Hopetoun House provides – with abundance!
Couples can indulge in the on-site wedding manager and event designers to orchestrate their special day down to every minute detail – including the catering side of things.
This skilled and experienced team of dedicated experts understands that each wedding is unique to the individual couple in question, and will work to ensure the vision is brought to life.
A couple of things to be aware of:
- Hopetoun House doesn’t permit outside catering for weddings.
- The maximum guest capacity at Hopetoun House is 200 (for both the ceremony and the reception).
- Weddings at the estate are limited to a certain number per year, so to avoid disappointment, it is wise to check out the wedding brochure (here) or contact the venue to discuss specific availability and venue prices by filling out the enquiry form, emailing them on weddings@hopetoun.co.uk, or calling them on 0131 331 2451.
Hopetoun House Availability
Although the manor is open to weddings all year round, full exclusive access is only granted to couples during the ‘off-peak’ season (October until April).
This is because the estate is open to the public for other functions, such as corporate events, and is particularly busy during the warmer months.
Wedding Catering at Hopetoun House
As we mentioned earlier, Hopetoun House has its own on-site wedding catering service and does not permit outside food vendors.
The on-site catering team is none other than the prestigious Heritage Portfolio, which received a royal warrant from Queen Elizabeth II in 2013 in recognition of its high standards, attention to detail, and outstanding catering services.
Once you secure your booking of Hopetoun House, the team will then work with you to create your ideal wedding food and drinks menu.
Hopetoun House Wedding Cost
Depending on your specific wedding requirements, such as guest capacity, you will need to contact the estate to discuss costs.
Hopetoun House Accommodation
Couples may wish to enjoy the location for a holiday, as well as a wedding venue, and may be able to book the exclusive on-site holiday home, Parkhead House.
What was formerly a game keeper’s cottage is now a cosy country house, and is located on the edge of the estate’s Deer Park, offering two double bedrooms and a twin, all of which are en-suite.
There is no minimum stay at Parkhead House but it is let on a bed & breakfast basis. Wedding guests will need to seek nearby accommodation independent from the estate.
