On a chilly day in February, I headed to the Edinburgh City Chambers to meet Alfie and Sophie for their wedding. The pair had headed to Scotland with their daughter and a few close family members to officially tie the knot in the Alexander Suite.
After the ceremony we headed out into the city for couple’s photos in a few iconic locations. I had SO much fun with these two. It’s always such an honour to be entrusted to capture this special day and when I get to chat and laugh along with everyone it’s even more fun.
"We had planned a v small wedding in Edinburgh and as we are from in the South of England, we had no local contacts to use (it was also a secret so we couldn't even ask friends for recommendations!!). We did some Googling and research on Instagram and came across Alysa. Straight away we fell in love with her style of photos - they were very natural and authentic and didn't look overly posed. She manages to capture the special moments which translate beautifully in a photo. I messaged her and she came back straight away with details, pricing etc and we set up a Zoom call to chat through our ideas. It was a pleasure to have Alysa at our wedding and she made the whole thing so relaxed. She was very patient as we were also dealing with a tired 2 year old! Alysa has exceptional knowledge of all the best spots in Edinburgh and was so understanding of when we felt like we'd captured 'enough' - it felt -10C and I was walking in sandals!!! We have very beautifully captured memories of our big day and would highly recommend Alysa!"
